Veterinarian

I decided from a young age that I wanted to be a veterinarian – what child wouldn’t want to cuddle puppies and kittens all day, right? In high school, I got a part time job working at a local animal hospital and quickly learned that the job was so much more than cuddling cute animals. Watching the veterinary team fall in love with each new pet, bond with the owners, and solve medical problems made me want to be a vet even more!

Fast forward a few years of school at the University of Guelph, I had acquired an interest in agriculture and decided to try large animal medicine upon graduation. I loved working with the cattle, horses, sheep and goats, but the highlight of every farm call was making friends with the farm dogs and sneaking in some scratches for the barn cats! So the logical progression was to come back to a companion animal practice, and Manitou was a perfect fit!
