Registered Veterinary Technician

I decided to become a veterinary technician when my first cat became sick. I wanted to not only help pets feel better but to make sure I could take care of their human family, too. I joined the Manitou family on June 27, 1995.

As a veterinary technician, my job changes all day. It’s hard to pick what part of this job interests me the most. I love all the “cuddly” parts of the job – even sometimes when the pets don’t appreciate it. I have been with the Manitou team for almost 30 years and I still love coming to work every day! I enjoy working one-on-one with clients to improve and maintain their pet’s health and swapping stories with clients about the crazy and cute things our pets do.

My favourite thing about the clinic is the family-friendly atmosphere we have. We care not only for your pet, but our human clients too!

My first pet was a beautiful Border Collie-Collie named Sparky. Since then, I have had two Border Collies, a Shetland Sheepdog, a Pomeranian mix, cats, snakes, lizards, critters, but my latest addition is a Rottweiler puppy! A fun fact about me is that I love to sing along with the radio. Very rarely I know all the words, so I make up my own, or hum loudly!
