Bridget Nailor

Animal Care Attendant

Kennel Staff

Growing up I dreamed of being a zoologist and becoming the next Steve Irwin or Jane Goodall. I always loved animals and have wonderful memories of growing up with my family’s dogs Shane and Coco. My first pet was a German Shepherd-Rottweiler mix named Tiffany. After high school, I got the opportunity to work at Ninth Life Cat Rescue in Burlington, where I met my current cats Princess and Lullaby. Over the years, I tried my hand at several other fields of work but found myself drawn back to the world of Animal Care. I joined Manitou Animal Hospital in September 2021 as an animal care aid. I have been given the opportunity to experience and learn many aspects of the field of veterinary medicine while saving up to attend college and become a registered veterinary technician. The best part of being at Manitou so far has been the staff. It’s such a welcoming and supportive workplace, which allows us to do our best for our patients. And of course, the endless opportunities to give out pets and scratches!

Outside of work, I enjoy playing board games, singing, spending time with family and friends, and watching or growing my film collection. (I’m at 652 so far!) Fun fact about me: I am a big geek, I especially love horror movies, and am a sucker for anything to do with Halloween!
