Kitten Vaccinations

Vaccines given to your kitten are essential, they are helping to be building blocks for their life. A series of vaccines is the best protocol, as this way it builds up the immunity and protection as “stair steps.” Initially, vaccines should be given at approximately 8, 12, and 16 weeks.

When should kittens get their first vaccination shots?

At approximately eight weeks of age. This coincides with the weaning process from their mother.

How often does my kitten need to be vaccinated?

Every four weeks, for a total of 3 boosters (8, 12, and 16-week boosters).

Does my kitten only need core vaccines?

If the kitten is going outside or interacting with cats outside of the home, consider Feline Leukemia Vaccine.
