I’ve enjoyed creatures of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember. I went directly from high school to college to become a veterinary technician and have been in the field since 2003. In that time, I have mainly worked with cats and dogs, but do enjoy working with animals of all types. I am passionate about rescue work and have volunteered at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society assisting with feral and rescue cat spays and neuters, as well as caring for farm kittens and mom cats in my spare time.
I have a lot of experience handling and caring for scared and semi wild farm cats and kittens and have found that experience to be very helpful when caring for cats and dogs that are nervous in the hospital setting. I share my home with 2 cats who came to me as farm kittens and 3 Boston Terriers. All 3 Bostons are “second-hand”, one we adopted from the local humane society and 2 needing homes due to medical issues.
I want everyone’s animals to live the best lives they can and enjoy helping clients achieve that with their own animals!
