Amanda Santarossa, ACA/Vet Student

Animal Care Attendant/Vet Student

Hi there - I am Amanda S! I am currently a veterinary student at the Ontario Veterinary College and I will graduate in 2021. My goal is to practice in a small animal veterinary clinic after graduation, and I am interested in nutrition, surgery, neurology, and preventative medicine. Before veterinary school, I completed a Masters of Science degree at the University of Guelph working on a project on pet obesity.

I joined Manitou Animal Hospital in May 2019 as a summer veterinary student, and you may see me around working part-time while I am in school. I love all of the amazing doctors, techs, assistants and client care representatives – they are like a big family! I really enjoy connecting with the clients and pets that come into the clinic, it is great to hear stories about how your pet enriches your life.

Outside of the clinic, I like to ride horses, read books, play with my cat Oscar, and travel the world with my husband Alex.
